Kisumu County’s Fredrick Ombima is the newest millionaire in town, courtesy of betting company BetPawa.
Ombima placed a 22 game bet from various leagues around the world worth Sh5 bob last Sunday, and he is now a millionaire.
“I placed that bet last Sunday, with matches being played from Sunday night to Monday. I placed 3 bets. I deposited 50 shillings, and split that into three bets; One for 25 shillings, another for 20 shillings and another for 5 shillings,” he is quoted by Futaa.com.
“I was so sure about the first two. So for the last 5-shilling bet, I picked 22 home teams which I was certain would win. On Monday morning, I logged into my account and found that I had won,” he added.
For the 22 matches, Fredrick Ombima’s total odds were 121,502.
His possible win was Ksh.607, 511.57 but since he had picked over 20 matches, he qualified for a 100% win bonus being offered by BetPawa.
The amazing bonus won him a cool Ksh.1, 215, 023.14.
The young man is currently unemployed. “I do manual jobs once in a while, and has been betting with BetPawa regularly and hoping I can win something,” he said.
He is yet to decide on how he will be spending his new wind fall.
