With exactly 30 days to the repeat presidential election, both Jubilee and Nasa are battling to secure more votes.

Five counties have emerged as potential deciders of who will be Kenya's next president.

The five counties have a total of 2,181,038 votes.

Both President Uhuru Kenyatta and Nasa leader Raila Odinga have intensified campaigns in the regions, with an aim of wooing the voters to their sides.

Bungoma, Kisii, Nyamira, Narok and Kajiado may decide whether Uhuru will serve his second term or if Raila becomes Kenya’s fifth president. They have already visited Kajiado, Narok and Bungoma ahead of the repeat poll, scheduled for October 17.

Last week, Uhuru hosted a delegation from Kisii and Nyamira counties at State House, Nakuru where urged them to support his bid for re-election.

Uhuru assured members of the Abagusii community that he had no problem with Chief Justice David Maraga over the Supreme Court ruling that annulled his victory on September 1.

Opposition leader Raila on the other hand has visited Maraga's backyard after the president and his deputy launched attacks on the CJ over the ruling.

Raila hopes to reap big from the sustained attacks on the CJ.
