Five people died on the spot while scores of others sustained serious injuries on Sunday September 25 in a grisly road accident along Langata Road.

The accident involved an Ongataline Trans Sacco matatu carrying passengers from Rongai towards town which overturned on the busy road as it sped.

Lang'ata OCPD Elijah Maina confirmed the incident and said that police have launched investigations into the cause of the accident.

Police and well-wishers were rescuing the injured and rushing them to hospital at the time of going to press.
