Area boda boda Chairman Charles Oyogo said they decided to force the 5 riders to bath in public because they have been dirty and reeking foul smell to not only their colleagues but also to their customers.

“It is shameful that the riders have not been bathing for over 6 months now. They are also dirty and we had to force them bath in public and have them change their clothes which they have been wearing for months now,” said Oyogo.

He said boda boda riders contributed funds to buy new clothes for the riders because they have failed to buy clothes on their own.

“We bought new clothes for them and bathing soap which they will be using daily. Riders agreed to check on them daily to ensure that they are clean to protect boda boda business because customers may refuse using motorbikes on grounds that we are dirty,” added the chairman.

He warned other riders against going for days without bathing.

“No more foul smell from riders. Riders who don’t bath will not be allowed to operate in this area,” he noted.
