Some habits are so annoying and men should strive to stop them. [Photo/http://www.imanami.com]
We are in the 21st century yet some things people do or say can only relate to the 18th century. Men are fond of saying certain things in the name of love but end up hurting their women. Never say these things to a woman in 2018.
1. I want you to bear children for me. In Swahili, it sounds even worse when someone tells you “Nataka unizalie”. Please never say this to a woman unless you have known her for long enough and have marriage plans.
2. These are my people. Why not just say, ‘meet my wife and children’ instead of calling them people like they got no names?
3. I love you to the moon and back. This so cliché for this generation. Be creative and come up with some other romantic lines or just say ‘I love you’ and that’s enough.
4. I am in trouble, please lend me some money. Unfortunately, some lazy men will use this means to get some money from their hardworking girlfriends. Women are so irritated when a man who has only dated them for a month starts asking for financial aid.
5. I am stuck in traffic. If you know you will be late for an appointment, just be frank instead of lying about traffic.
