Writing mwakenyasMost students used to write tiny answers on small pieces of papers. These papers were called mwakenyas and a student could hide it in areas no teacher could have suspected. A single mwakenya could carry a whole book, or even several books written in short forms, which the students clearly understood. The mwakenya could be used in the exam room without any teachers realizing it.

Eagle’s eyeSome students used to copy from their next friends. This method was called eagle’s eye. You had to have a great eyesight to copy from the answer sheet of your friends from their sitting positions. Some good friends could position their answer sheets in a strategic position so that you copy or compare answers.

Bribing examinersSome rich students could bribe examiners to give them answers or even allow them to copy in exams. Several students could gang up and collect money to give an examiner so that they have the freedom to copy during an exam. Such examiners could sit outside the exam room or sit inside and pretend to be sleeping for the students to copy.

Exchanging seatsSome tricky students used to exchange their seats during exams so that they copy from their friends. Student A walks outside to go for a short call, then student B shortly follows out. Student A will come and sit at student B place while student B will come and sit at student A’s place so that they compare and exchange answers.

Body aidsSome students used to write answers on their bodies. Mostly girls could write answers on their thighs where a teacher couldn’t try checking. Other students could write answers on their hands or even clothes where they easily confirmed during an exam.
