The Neno evangelism pastor is not new to controversy and has in the previous years hit headlines over matters relating to his family.

Here is what you didn’t know about Pastor James Ng’ang’a

1. Neno Evangelism Pastor 

He is the lead pastor and Bishop of the Neno Evangelism Ministries whose main church is located in Nairobi.

The church has branches in other parts of the country.Miracles pastor Pastor Ng’ang’a has often boosted of performing miracles a reason to why his church is always flocked by worshipers. 

2. Ex-convict 

There are allegations that the pastor Ng’ang’a is an ex- convict and once served a sentence at the Shimo La Tewa prison in Mombasa.

The 63 year old preacher was quoted saying that he is not afraid of jail and that the prison is like his second home days after he was arrested and charged in relation to the fatal accident that claimed the life of Mercy Njeri in Limuru on August 26, 2015.

3. Hawker/street preacher 

There are claims that he Neno Evangelism pastor was a hawker before his started his preaching ministries.

He also started off as a street preacher before establishing his Neno Evangelism Ministries.

The pastor once shared photos of him hawking to his Church’s Facebook page.

4. Wealthy 

Pastor Ng’ang’a  in  his sermons has often confessed to being among the richest evangelical pastors of all times.

5. Married 

In 2012, pastor Ng’ang’a married and wedded Loise Murugi Maina in an invite only weeding at the prestigious Windsor Hotel.

However year’s later the Murugi filed for divorce accusing the pastor of allegedly assaulting her. In a dossier poured to the media, Murugi claimed that her husband is not who he claims to be.

Despite all the controversies surrounding the preacher, he has often depicted himself as a servant of God and a humble man.

The preacher is now in trouble against days after he was acquitted of charges relating to reckless and dangerous driving resulting to death.

On Tuesday, Interior Cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i ordered for an appeal against the pastor’s acquittal. 

The pastor’s acquittal has caused a public uproar as Kenyan’s demand justice for Mercy Njeri’s family.
