Atleast five students from Kiambu will benefit to go and study in Poland after a Polish Embassy representative Mr. Naczelnik Panstwa promised to sponsor top 5 students in Kiambu to study engineering after their KCSE results is released next year.

Mr. Panstwa said that Kiambu County has potentials and their leaders have shown effort in supporting education citing Biashara Fund and the recently launched feeding program.

He said that Poland is among the best countries in Engineering and its government in partnership with Kiambu government has joined hands in supporting the youths and education.

“Poland being among the best countries in Engineering, we have partnered with Kiambu government to promote education and support youth in line with education,” Panstwa said.

This is after the Kiambu brigadiers graduated in fire and rope rescue in Poland where they have been training for six months.

Mr. Panstwa promised to keep the relationship between the two government intact and support education especially bright students who wants to be engineers.

He revealed that the qualification for the sponsorship is that the student must have done three sciences; Biology, Chemistry and Physics with atleast an A-(minus) respectively.

“The top five students must have performed better in all three sciences getting atleast A-(minus) respectively to qualify for the sponsorship,” he said.

He has hailed Kiambu Governor Mr. William Gitau Kabogo for continuous support to the county terming it as good leadership for the people citing the Kidney Diseases Management Centre that will be established soon in the county.

The Polish ambassador stated that Poland government will avail its brigadiers to come in Kiambu, Kenya and sensitized the residents on matters of fire fighting.

He was speaking on Friday during the graduation of brigadiers in Thika.
