The type of underwear you choose and your day to day habits can have great impact on your health “down there.” Consider the following mistake you could have made with regard to underwear.
Too tight
Tight underwear can promote chafing of the skin and vaginal irritation. Make sure your underwear does not rub your skin
Synthetic fabrics and silk
When it comes to material, experts agree that your personal preference can dictate the fabric—as long as you make sure the crotch is lined with cotton. “Silk and synthetic fabrics are not breathable, which increases the risk of moisture being trapped and retained, which can create a yeast or bacterial infection,” says Dr. Moore.
Thongs
If you have an inclination to get yeast or bacterial infections, thongs should not be your choice of underwear. Why? Because they serve as transport media from back to front. You already know that the two will never be friends, though close to each other.
Underwear bed time
Most experts recommend sleep nude. “Though it’s a matter of personal preference, from the perspective of breathing and airing things out, you should sleep without underwear,” says Dr Moore.
Going without underwear during the day
If breathable underwear is good, is wearing no underwear better? NO! Without underwear your other garments will just rub you private parts directly. Also, the natural moisture produced by the vagina has nowhere to go when you’re not wearing underwear.
Paying attention to the foregoing will improve your health.
