Kiambu County is among the most blessed counties in Kenya. 

This article outlines some reasons as to why Kiambu can be considered to be among the wealthiest and blessed counties in Kenya.

First, the county is the 'mother home' for the president of Kenya. The president of the republic of Kenya comes from Gatundu South, which is located in Kiambu County. So far the county has produced two presidents, Kenyatta senior and Kenyatta junior. 

Second, Kiambu County has got so many higher learning institutions.The county boasts of various higher leaning institutions including Jomo Kenyatta University of Science at Technology in Juja town, Kenyatta University main campus is located in Kiambu , Zetech University Main Campus located in Ruiru, Mt Kenya University main campus in Thika among others. 

Third, the UNEP headquaters are located in Gigiri along Limuru road. The place is known for offering nice and greener pastures for job seekers as well as expatriates.

Fourth, posh estates: Talk of estates like Muthaiga , Section 9 among others which are located within the vicinityof Kiambu County. Those living there are considered to be very successful in life.
