Below are five tips on how to stop masturbation addiction.

1. List down its pros and cons and weigh them

Weighing the good side and the bad side of masturbation is the first step you should take towards kicking out the addiction. The pros may be the pleasure you get while the cons may be failing to report to work or school just to remain home and do it. Definitely, you'd better go to work or school than remain behind to masturbate.

2. Get busy

An idle mind is the devil's workshop. Chances of engaging in masturbation are high when one is idle, lazy or have nothing important to do. To avoid having the thoughts to engage in this, find something that will keep you busy, to keep your mind occupied.

3. Limit your solitude

Limiting your solitude is another great way to kick out thoughts of engaging in masturbation. Try to be with somebody or people because being alone most of the time only encourages you to engage in the act since you can't actually do it in the presence of somebody or people.

4. Avoid watching porn or explicit materials

Porn or other explicit materials will only arouse you and should it find you in the moods and good condition to masturbate then you will do it. The best way to avoid addiction to this is to cut off the porn. Do something else, watch some clean and morally upright movies.

5. Seek appointment with counselors or medical practitioners

Although this is hard you can find someone you trust especially sex therapists or counselors who will explain and train you on how to avoid this. Don't feel ashamed because many people have this problem.
