A bodaboda operator was stabbed by a suspected thug and succumbed to death on Monday.
This happened at Quoth Ogika estate in Suna West sub-county, Migori County.
The deceased was reportedly stabbed at his left-hand side of the chest causing his untimely death.
As reported by Citizen Digital, the late Michael Odhiambo and his three colleagues were following some suspected thugs who appeared in the area at around 4 am on Monday.
Odhiambo together with Daniel Simbo, Victor Gwendo and Stephen Ochieng' who are bodaboda operators too, met the suspects at the scene of the incident where one of the thugs stabbed him
According to the Migori Police County Commander Joseph Nthenge, the thugs ran away after killing Odhiambo.
Nthenge said investigations have started to hunt for the thugs and ensure they are arrested.
As the suspects were running away, they left behind a motorcycle with number plate KMEM 598S, hammer and a pair of pliers which the police hope will help hasten their investigations.
The body of the late was taken to Migori Level Four Hospital mortuary.
