Mirithu Girls Secondary School in Limuru will have a reason to smile after area member of Parliament John Kiragu presented a cheque of Shs 500,000 in a bid to purchase new computers in the institution.
Kiragu said that the new computers will help boost the academic excellence of the school in terms of digital error which Kenya is moving in line with vision 2030.
Mirithu school have been learning without computers in the institution ever since it was established in 2002 and it raised concerns to parents and guardians for the poor performance of the school.
The MP said that he has plans for education in the constituency and he will not tire to venture into education development which is a fundamental exercise in human beings.
“Education is something we cannot argue about, it is essential in mans’ life and thus it should be embraced especially in line with vision 2030,” said the MP
The legislator revealed that the project which is sponsored by the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) is a way to tell the national government that a constituency cannot survive without the CDF money which plans are underway in revoking the funds from the people of Kenya.
He said that the National government should recheck the issue since the same fund is going to benefit not only the residents of the country but also improve the economy of the country.
The law maker who was speaking on Tuesday in Ndeiya ward said that he is working towards fulfilling the manifesto set during the campaign and thus extended his gratitude to the residents for being calm about the computer issue where everything has been settled.
“Everything is now moving towards the right direction and thanks to parents and guardians for their maintaining peace since the students can now access computer and better their education,” said Kiragu
