After Hivisasa exposed the poor state of infrastructure at Magena Primary School in Sensi ward, Kitutu Chache North constituency which had been neglected for a long time, the school has new classes courtesy of CDF.
Hivisasa could not reach the school's headteacher on phone for a comment, however, parents who spoke to Hivisasa said the institution was salvaged by Kitutu Chache North CDF office came to their rescue.
"We thank the CDF office for the commendable job. Actually, the classes were almost falling apart. The new classes are a big relief for our children. We ask our area MP to add us more classes," said John Mayieka.
Pamela Kemunto, another parent at the school added that "The school is forgotten because it's deep in the order between Kisii and Nyamira. We thank the media for highlighting this issue. At least we have confidence that our children, though not all, are safe."
The story sparked a fierce online debate with scores questioning the utilisation of funds by CDF.
The school's former students put the area MP Jimmy Angwenyi on notice accusing him of negligence, risking the lives of innocent children.
