The MCAs, who work in ten departmental committees, had been axed from their positions on July 31 before the court ruling.

In his ruling, Justice Lucy Gitari reinstated the MCAs. Gitari presented a letter to the County Assembly and County Clerk and the Attorney General. The court also ordered the county assembly not to reconstitute the committees of the county assemblies.

The governor has intervened in the appointment of the members of the committee.  Through their lawyer, Ndegwa Njiru the MCAs objected the move to remove them from the committee.

The MCAs are Samuel Maina (Nyangati), Pius Njogu(Thiba), Gudson Muchina (Tebere), Mathew Ireri(Ngariama), Harridan Mwangi (Kanyekini), Peter Njomo(Mutithi), John Kanga (Mutithi), David Kinyua(Mutira), Johnson Munene(Kiine) and Fredrick Bundi(Njukiine).

The first-term governor has been facing a tough time with the MCAs after they differed over several issues of budgeting.

The endless wrangles have adversely affected the operations of the governor as she seeks to leave behind a legacy before the end of her term in office. Waiguru, also Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary,  is yet to speak on the court ruling
