Kipchoge has expressed his feelings towards Pochettino's dismissal from the club saying that he was a humble man. He has, however, wished him well together with his entire coaching staff in their next life

"In recent years I have been able to meet with Mauricio, assistant Jesus, and their full coaching team several times. I've become very impressed with their human touch and I wish them all the best in whatever the future might bring,” he said

Mauricio Pochettino was sacked on Wednesday after registering poor results in the premier league. In a statement released from the club, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy said that they have taken a hard decision to end Pochettino's stay at the club due to the poor results they have registered.

"We were extremely reluctant to make this change. It is not a decision the board has taken lightly, nor in haste," said Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

"Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.

"It falls on the board to make the difficult decisions - this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff - but we do so in the club's best interests."

The Kenyan skipper ex-coach, Mauricio Pochettino was named a Tottenham coach on 28 May 2014 after having a successful campaign with Southampton in the premier league. He will be remembered for taking Tottenham to Champions League final for the first time after having a memorable comeback against Ajax in Amsterdam.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has however been appointed as the club's head coach
