Speaking to K24tv.co.ke, Rosemeg Wambita said that the former high-flying journalist was not welcome to her home in spite of being released by an Australian court.

"I have heard the news but I cannot comment further. The only thing I would say is that I haven’t and will not recognise her as my son’s wife because of what she has put him through, " she told K24.

Wambita maintained that his son was not guilty of the murder charges leveled against him and rejected claims that Quincy Timberlake had joined the ranks of a devil worship cult.

Mr Timberlake is accused of killing his son Sinclair Timberlake after punching the three-year-old in the stomach and slamming him against a wall.

Esther Arunga told an Australian court that she had lied about the circumstances of their son's death in order to shield her husband from lawful punishment, making her an accessory to murder.

Quincy's mother said that she had hoped for a tougher sentence for her daughter in law whom she accused of leading his son astray and lying.

Arunga's release quickly set social media platforms afire with commentary from Kenyans.
