Nairobi County Women Representative Esther Passaris on Sunday revealed that her first salary was Sh4,000.The lawmaker made the revelation in a bid to challenge the youth to work hard. Passaris was specifically responding to a Twitter user who had questioned why she sort medical attention in India instead of local hospitals. Passaris has been in India receiving spinal code treatment. One netizen went ahead to challenge Passaris to push for a bill that would bring about healthcare reforms that will favour those who do not have money. The netizen under the Twitter username of Augustus Rush O suggested that the criticism had made Passaris to know how it feels not to have money."It's you not me who has been on the receiving end. Why? You either didn't vote, voted on tribal lines, refuse to grasp opportunities, or refuse to work diligently to better your life & that of your community. My first salary was 4k. I worked hard & continue to work very hard," Passaris stated in a tweet.Passaris in response blamed the electorates for not making the right decision during election of leaders adding that the netizen was reluctant to better his life and that of his community.
