Top Tanzanian artists Rayvanny and Diamond Platnumz have released another hit song dubbed ‘Vumbi’.
The song which was posted on Monday evening on YouTube attracted more than 37,000 views and 800 comments within one hour of its publication.
'Vumbi' is basically a banger which talks about always being ahead of a rival. The song’s chorus states; ‘Timua vumbi’ which loosely translates to causing dust in a place as a result of engaging in vigorous activity.
Diamond who is the CEO of Wasafi records which has also signed Rayvanny is apparently on a marathon of releasing hit songs. He released a song titled ‘Kanyaga’ a week ago. The song went down in history as one of Diamond’s most viewed on YouTube after it gained one million views within 13 hours.
This is not the first time that the two artists who enjoy a huge following in Kenya have partnered to bring out a hit song. The duo is most remembered for their song ‘Tetema’ which went viral and is currently standing at 21 million views.
Diamond and Rayvanny are not only celebrated in their home country Tanzania but also in Kenya. The former is in fact in a relationship with a Kenyan radio presenter.
Rayvanny, on the other hand, has entertained Kenyans with his live performances during various events.
