Political analyst Ambrose Weda now says that the increasing calls for a cabinet reshuffle risk very high chances of going unanswered.
Among those calling for changes is Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) boss Francis Atwoli who on Saturday cited suspicion in the cabinet.
But Weda is of the opinion that Uhuru should not be expected to just make the changes, and might not make any at all in the instance that is deputy William Ruto is opposed to them.
Speaking on Wednesday, he noted that the cabinet is a joint formation between the two, which bars Uhuru from making any changes without the consent and permission from Ruto.
"Uhuru cannot just wake up and dissolve the cabinet because this is a shared government between him and the Deputy President," he said on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation.
Atwoli's proposal comes slightly over a week after four ministers were accused of plotting to assasinate the DP, claims the Trade CS Peter Munya-led group has denied.
Weda opined that the cabinet appears divided between Uhuru and Ruto, with each group remaining loyal to the person who brought them in power, which should not be the case.
He, however, fired shots at the group of Munya, Sicily Kariuki (Health), Joe Mucheru (ICT) and James Macharia (Transport) after claiming that their meeting was development based.
"This is a Kenyan cabinet. They are supposed to serve the county and not to meet to discuss development for a certain region. It that's the case then what will happen to the Dorobos who don't have ministers?" he posed.
