The man identified as Majiwa, listed hardship in life, lack of food, lack of medical attention and neglect by friends and family as reasons for his suicide.

More so, he sounded a warning to his brothers and sisters, that they will never have a peace of mind for the rest of their lives after they neglected him to his death.

He categorically blamed his brother for his uncaring heart. According to the suicide note seen by K24, the man had said that his brother sold their family land in Migori but could not consider financing his medical bill.

“[My friend] Hamisi can tell you that my family is uncooperative. They have never supported me since I got sick. When I was employed and had money, I spent at least Ksh60, 000 on my brother’s house rent. After losing the job, and becoming ill, he refused to assist me. I remember he even declined to help me with Ksh500 for a haemoglobin test,” lamented Majiwa in the note as quoted by K24

His friends said he life took a U-turn after the job he was doing ended. Likoni Sub-County police commander, Jane Munywoki, confirmed the incident.

The deceased's body was moved to the Coast Provincial General Hospital mortuary.

This comes after the president set up a task force to evaluate the Mental health of Kenyans.
