Thirdway Alliance Party leader Ekuru Aukot and his team were on Wednesday heckled in West Pokot County.
The incident occurred as Mr Aukot and his team were presenting the Punguza Mizigo Bill before the county assembly.
Things turned chaotic when a section of leaders rejected Aukot's Bill.
The leaders who rejected the Bill criticised Aukot over claims of frustrating some of the marginalised areas in the country including West Pokot.
The chaos that ensued left only four members of the county assembly in the House willing to listen to Aukot's presentation.
A total of 29 MCAs walked out of the county assembly and promised to reject the Bill which seeks to amend the constitution.
Aukot later headed to Makutano town where he addressed residents.
The MCAs who rejected Aukot's Bill argued that it will deny women a chance in politics.
Nominated MCA Eunice Andiema while opposing the Bill noted that it will deny women who have worked hard in politics a chance to grow themselves.
"Why scrap off nominations? Ekuru should focus on fighting corruption rather than fighting the Constitution," she said as quoted by the Standard.
On the other hand, Batei MCA Solomon Angelei argued that the Bill will make West Pokot more marginalised than it already is.
"We have been marginalised for years yet Aukot wants us to be more marginalised. Marginalised counties will be affected if it goes through. We oppose it 100 per cent," he said as quoted by Standard.
