Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday morning accused the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party of hijacking the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
In a statement shared on his Twitter handle, Ruto claimed that the BBI report had been shaped to favour political goals of ODM party and its members.
DP Ruto further called for an end to the misuse of public resources in the name of popularizing the BBI report.
He alleged that the Opposition was dead ad had now resorted to disuniting the Jubilee party.
According to the Deputy President, implementation of the Big Four agenda is the only way forward.
"We accept that Bbi/handshake has been hijacked to craft Odm's 2022 political line up. Unity/inclusivity pretence & associated squander of public resources should stop. Unity? the opposition (NASA) is already dismembered/dead; now dividing Jubilee. Big4 roll out the only way to go," Ruto stated on Twitter.
Ruto had earlier on hit out at ODM party leader Raila Odinga for misusing public resources to carry out rallies for the BBI report.
This was after the Raila-led team staged a rally in Kisii county to draw support for the report.
Ruto's new statement may indicate that he has changed his stand on the BBI report. The DP had claimed that he will support the report if the people accepted it.
