In an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday, Duale said that Kuria is a joker just like Narc Kenya Leader Martha Karua and Amani National Congress (ANC) Leader Musalia Mudavadi were when they attempted to rise to power.

He noted that he is not surprised by the fact that Kuria wants to enter the race for the presidency.

The Garissa Town lawmaker said that the legislator will represent spoilers in the contest for power.

Duale also alluded that it will be a contest between Deputy President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga.

“In every election there are jokers. In 2022, it will be a 2-horse race. The rest are donkeys,” he said.

Duale also said that he will stand with the second in command to the end. He further hinted at retiring from the political scene saying that he will do so if Ruto ascends to power.

On his relationship with Ruto, who is considered as one of the frontrunners in the race for the presidency, Duale said that he respects him as his deputy and will not abandon him at the hour of need as speculated on media houses.
