A happy and healthy relationship is built on mutual love, care and respect. A little jealous is always natural with all of us though it can be so much that it becomes a threat to your relationship.
When you realize that your girlfriend is constantly after your whereabouts, who you are spending time with or always thinking you are cheating her, she is possessive and overly insecure.
To comfortably deal with her, here's what to do;
1. Help her feel confident of herself
A possessive girlfriend fears competition from other women towards you. To solve this, compliment her with accomplishments achieved and assure her that she is the only woman you have.
2. Stop being secretive
Your girlfriend will cling harder when she realizes that you are hiding something from her. Lying of your whereabouts and she later finds out where you have been will only make her more insecure.
3. Explain to her how personal space is beneficial for both of you
Take your time and explain to your girlfriend that personal space will help both of you refocus and strategize on your own lives. Inform her that requesting for personal space doesn't mean you do not love her anymore.
4. Let her know your female friends
It is difficult to avoid communication from every female you have as a friend or workmate just because of your girlfriend. Once she realizes that you are just friends she will stop feeling insecure.
5. Spend quality time with her
Spending enough time with your girlfriend makes her feel happy and cared for. Showering her with your attention so often will reduce her insecurity.
