However, what you did not know is that these two could lead you to a painful journey of cancer.

Clinical nutritionist Stella Kimabi while speaking on Classic 105 Wednesday morning shocked Kenyans after disclosing that roasted meat produces a carcinogenic chemical while alcohol leads to the formation of cancer-causing cells in the body.

Kimani explained that alcohol can lead to inflammation of cells in the body and weaken parts of the liver and kidney.

“Alcoholic content especially wines and spirits which has high alcoholic content interferes with the liver cells, therefore, I do not recommend intake of alcohol at all”, she pointed out.

Further, she contended: “The steam from the roasted meat produces heat that forms cyclic carbons that contain carcinogens which produce cancerous cells."

According to the clinical nutritionist, frequent intake of roasted meat and alcohol triggers inflammation of cells creating room for cancer cells to start building up.

She advised Kenyans to be keen on the content of the foods they consume.

Besides, it is important for one to ensure he\she eats a well-balanced diet at all times and avoid processed foods.
