This follows Migne's sacking.

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) on Monday announced that they had agreed to part ways with the Harambee Stars head coach following a mutual consent to terminate his contract.

After news of his departure broke, Johana took to his Twitter account to write his goodbyes and support to the outgoing coach.

“Thank you coach for everything you have done for me and for our country. Good luck for the future,” he tweeted.

The tweet was accompanied by a photo of the two during a training session.

Johana was a key player under the French coach and a mainstay in the starting XI.

Migne had once heaped praise on the 24-year-old playmaker after a master class against neighbours Ethiopia.

Harambee Stars did not win any major international trophy under the stewardship of Migne and perhaps it’s a bit unfortunate for a coach who has been in the dugout for the past one year and has seen the team reach greater heights.

Migne will always be remembered for taking Kenya to the AFCON after 15 years of absence.

His last assignment with the Stars was the CHAN 2020 qualifiers where the team failed to qualify for the next round.
