Speaking in Migori County on Monday, the first time senator claimed that there were members of the party who were double dealing.

"Here in Migori we have people certain people among us who during the day are ODM but during the night are different things, " the senator said.

The former cabinet minister's words appeared to be a jibe at Governor Okoth Obado who has been associating with Deputy President Dr William Ruto lately.

Governor Obado played host to the deputy president weeks ago in a meeting that saw veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga come under blistering criticism.

Though not coming out clearly on whether he will support the DP, the embattled governor has promised to work closely with Dr Ruto in order to bring about development in his county.

Ayako's words come in the context of rebellion in the ODM party.

Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok and Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa are ODM polititicians who have openly rebelled against the party leader by joining the ranks of DP Ruto's supporters.

Governor Nanok was stripped of his deputy party leader position over his association with DP Ruto.
