A student from Mugoiri Girls' High School has amazed many social media users after a video of her anchoring Kikuyu TV news found its way online.
The schoolgirl who identifies herself as Waithira Nduati is clearly cut out for TV broadcasting if the personality traits she exhibits in the video are anything to go by.
From her excellent communication skills to her ability to speak on-camera while well-composed, the young girl looks and sounds passionate and truly involved in what she is doing which makes you have a connection with her throughout the two-minute video.
What is even more amazing about the girl's news presentation skills, is her naturality and the ease in which she flows with her mother tongue, a rare fête among many youngsters who perceive vernacular languages archaic and old-fashioned, leave alone using them in their conversations.
Many will agree that in this era when our TV screens have been hijacked by quacks, slay queens and beauty pageants, coming across a female TV anchor who has a combination of beauty, brains and passion, is a rare occurrence.
Nonetheless, many users who have commented on the girl's video have observed that the future of Kikuyu news anchoring, at least, looks bright if only such sprouting raw talents can be tapped and nurtured to the highest level.
