Speaking on Sunday during an interview with KTN, Wetangula said that it is saddening to noted that different arms of the government have been interfering with the operations of the Judiciary.

He noted that unless the other arms stand with the judiciary in the war to end massive runaway graft the efforts of the government will not bear fruits.

“The Judiciary must be supported. If we want to fight corruption then the machinery that fights graft must be made to function optimally including Judiciary,” he said.

He also said that the death of Judge Otieno Ouko Odek has left a big gap in the Judiciary. He said that there is the need to replace him with someone compete to fasten the cases in courts.

“The vacuum left after the departure of Dr Ouko is even worse because the upshot of this is that there will be a delay in auditing of accounts, sending them to parliament for approval and revenue sharing between national and county governments is based on audited and approved accounts, “ he said.
