Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has now urged students to take up leadership roles in the country.
In a tweet on Friday, the self declared opposition leader argued students to change the destiny of the country through taking up leadership roles.
"As we inaugurate the new leadership of Kenya Universities Students Organization (KUSO) I challenge students to take up leadership roles & help shape the destiny of this country. It's your time, make the best of it. You determine the leaders you want & the destiny of this country," he said.
KUSO is a students body that airs their concerns to the government. The body's new leadership was inaugurated on Friday.
Mudavadi argued the students to also venture into national politics and not only stop at college and university politics.
Having young leaders in the national politics will help air the youths and students grievousness, which are never taken serious sometimes by politicians.
On various occasion, the body has been having wars with the government who failed to act in their favor in various amendments.
Having a student leaders in the national politics might even help the student's body as they will have their own representative in the parliament.
