Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has thrown a jab at ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga over the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
In a tweet on Saturday, Khalwale claimed that the former Prime Minister addressed empty chairs at the Bukhungu stadium.
In his speech, Raila said that the BBI report implementation will mark a new dawn for Kenya.
He urged Luhya leaders to fully back the implementation of the report.
The ODM boss also said that it is not a must for him to be the President of this nation. On corruption, he said that the report will enable the government to deal with persons embezzling public fund at the expense of development.
"If we don’t deal with the scourge of corruption, life will continue being hard for the majority of Kenyans because what is supposed to grow the economy gets stolen. We need stiff sentences for the corrupt so that they stop masquerading as heroes and philanthropists among us," he said.
