Police in Kericho are holding a man suspected to have been involved in the murder of Rai Cement Factory Manager Chetan Vyas, who was found murdered in his bedroom on Sunday.
The suspect, a watchman at the slain manager's home, was arrested after he was caught on camera removing a ladder believed to have been used to access the factory by Chetan's killers.
Confirming the arrest, Kericho County Criminal Investigations Officer Stephen Chacha said the suspect was taken to Sosiot Police Station for questioning.
County Deputy Police Commander Patricia Nasio said the identity of the suspects are yet to be established, as they were wearing masks during the time of crime.
She said the group, which was captured by CCTV cameras stationed inside the house after disconnecting the exterior ones, accessed the house through the roof.
"They lifted the tiles from the roof, gaining access to the house through the kitchen store before proceeding to the bedroom where Vyas was sleeping,” she said.
According to Nasio, the suspects took away some bags whose content remain unknown.
His body has since been moved to the Kisumu County Hospital Mortuary pending investigations.
