A good number of couples part ways after having a baby. Though it is said that babies are a source of happiness for their parents, this is not always the case in some relationships.
Here are some of the reasons why couples break up after having a baby.
1. Lack of quality time
The moment a couple gets a baby, things change. During this time, it is hard for couples to have some quality time with each other as they find themselves dedicating most of their time to their baby. Hence, with time, the connection and excitement in the relationship begin to fade away, leading to a breakup.
2. Lack of sleep
It is recommended that we should sleep for eight hours. However, this is not the case for most couples who have a newborn baby. The baby makes most parents not to sleep and lack of sleep comes with many negative effects. One of the effects is being moody and this might cause constant arguments with your significant other, leading to a breakup.
3. Dissatisfied with parenting
Even though parenting is a joy to many, to some it’s the opposite. Some couples might end up not being happy being parents and this may lead to the collapse of the relationship.
