This follows a peace accord signed by him together with West Pokot Governor Prof John Lonyangapuo.

Tolgos while speaking during the peace signing deal at Chesogon market in Kerio Valley on Wednesday,  he called for peace saying he will tour the region to ensure that development projects continue.

"When you see me in future here, then know that I am there for development. We are done with issues of coming here to ask for peace (Mkiniona sehemu hii nitakuwa nimekuja kwa mambo ya maendeleo. Mambo ya kuja kusema tunaomba amani, tumemaliza leo)," stated Tolgos in his address.

The Elgeyo Marakwet Governor noted that he is hopeful for a new beginning in light of the peace deal that also involved Baringo County.

At the event, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and his Marakwet West counterpart David Kangogo Bowen revealed that leaders from around Kerio Valley agreed to unify their warring communities after a contentious debate.

The two leaders said they took the matter to themselves and persuaded their colleagues to strike a peace deal to end banditry in Kerio Valley.
