Kenya Cup leaders Kabras Sugar and Champions KCB registered victory as Mwamba RFC whittled down their playoffs qualification chances.
Top Fry Nakuru RFC registered their first victory of the year with a 13-18 win over Mwamba in the Kenya Cup match played at Nairobi Railway ground.
Mwamba blew their hope of reaching Kenya Cup playoffs as they rued of not making good use of the opportunity that came on their way as they succumbed to the second defeat in a row.
Nakuru led 18 - 3 before the break even as Mwamba failed to close the gap managing only two tries in the second half that couldn't earn them a point against visitors.
"We have been losing to Mwamba for the past three years especially away from home and getting the win was very important," Nakuru RFC coach, Felix Oloo told the Standard.
Elsewhere, the series leaders Kabras Sugar and defending champions KCB were no match for their opponents as they registered resounding win while relegation-threatened varsity side, Blak Blad eased their woes with victory over Western Bull.
