Speaking on Saturday in Ganda ward, Malindi on Saturday during the burial of Mr Ngumbao Jola, Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed called on the CS to focus on the work in the agriculture docket.

Instead of sharing his opinions on the BBI, Junet argued, Kiunjuri should preoccupy himself with resolving the problems plaguing the agricultural sector.

"There are problems and all he can do is move around making noise. Why can't he do the work that he has been given (Kazi imeharibika na anarudi kupiga kelele juu ya BBI. Siafanye kazi yake ambayo amepewa), " a visibly incensed Junet Mohamed said. (0:34-0:40)

His strong words come in the wake of a harsh exchange of words between those supporting the initiative and those against it.

The BBI committee is said to be in the final stages of preparing its report and is expected to submit the report next week.

A section of members of parliament from the Mt Kenya region has vowed to oppose the BBI report should it propose a parliamentary system in its recommendations.

The DP Ruto-backing legislators have held the view that BBI is a cynical attempt to improve Raila Odinga's chances of ascending to power.
