Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi has accused unnamed leaders allied to DP William Ruto's camp of frustrating her following her decision to join Dr Fred Matiang'i's camp.
After months of campaigning for Dr Ruto in Tanga Tanga, Mrs Momanyi joined a team leaning towards President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga in June.
The move came just few days after she attended Dr Ruto's rallies in Nyamira, where she pledged loyalty to the second in command ahead of 2022 polls.
But in an interview on Saturday, the first term lawmaker accused a number of Tanga Tanga proponents of plotting to have her elected out.
"All these malicious information targets me because I left Tanga Tanga. They are tainting my name and deliberately making me look a non performer.
"I made a decision to join Matiang'i's team and nobody will intimidate me. Calling me a non performer and frustrating me is an act of paranoia," she said.
North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko, West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi and Kitutu Masaba legislator Shadrack Mose are some of Ruto's campaigners.
Although he's yet to declare interest in Presidency, Dr Matiang'i has been traversing Gusii region and even getting endorsement from senior leaders to run for presidency.
