Kandara Member of Parliament Alice Wahome has turned her canons towards the police service over allegations that there were plans to arrest her in Murang'a county on Monday.
The MP on Monday said that a contingent of police officers had been deployed to arrest her were she to attend a press conference held in Kenol Town.
According to her, she found it questionable that the police had so much time that they can wait to see if she will be coming over, yet there are better and more serious things to be dealt with.
"Am surprised that the police have too much time to waste when we have security challenges both in Kandara, Muranga and the entire country," Alice Wahomesaid in an interview on NTV (From Minute 2:00).
The MP who blamed the said plot against her on Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho, also suggested that the police manpower should be directed towards terrorists.
"We are having a lot of issues with terrorism and attacks are still occurring in Lamu and Mombasa so I am supposed that they are idle," she added.
Alice Wahome is not new to claiming that she is being harassed by the police, and has repeatedly made such claims, basing them on her criticism of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
She reiterated similar claims during the burial of former political detainee Charles Rubia on December 30, claiming the police are being used in a bid to intimidate her.
