Led by their chairman Bishop Wilson Kurui, they said this will ensure that all Kenyans at grassroots can read and understand it.

“As religious leaders from Uasin Gishu we are calling on the government to translate the BBI report to Kiswahili because the words that have been used in writing the report cannot be understood by common mwananchi,” said the Uasin Gishu gospel minister’s chairman.

Bishop Kurui spoke to the press in Eldoret town on Wednesday.

“It will also help for Kenyans to read the document for themselves instead of waiting for politicians to read for them who will mislead them for their selfish interests,” Bishop Kurui added.

He further called upon the government to produce more BBI copies and distribute it across the countries for Kenyans to access it since most of them just read and listen about on the media.

Bishop Kurui challenged the government to conduct sensitization on the BBI document across the country so that Kenyans may know the document and its importance.

On whether the document should go to a referendum or not the Uasin Gishu Uasin Gishu gospel ministers said it's too early to decide but politicians should give Kenyans time to read the document.
