A man who went viral in a video thanking President Uhuru Kenyatta for awarding him a state job now alleges that his mother is seriously affected after it turned out that the job was not a reality.
On Thursday, and partly Wednesday, 29-year-old Enosh Momanyi Onyango was making headlines after learnt through The Standard Newspaper, that he had been appointed by the President as the Physical Planning Principal Secretary.
However, it was revealed that the job was for another older Enosh Momanyi Onyango, but only after he had prepared his speech and even shared it on social media.
Momanyi now says his family and especially his mother, are seriously affected on learning that their son's lucrative job was not real, or rather not for him.
He alleged that his mother. Florence Isoe who has health problems is struggling to manage her sugar levels.
“Mum is the most-affected, and has to strive to manage her blood-pressure within acceptable levels,' he told K24
Momanyi added that his family were happy when they learnt the news of his appointment, only for their happiness to be reversed hours later after the paper ran a clarification over the same.
“A day later, a clarification was made – that I wasn’t the PS nominee, but another person was. Yesterday (Thursday) and today (Friday), my whole family has been confused, gloomy and left stomaching feelings of hopelessness,” said Momanyi.
He is now hoping that maybe one day the President will consider him state jobs in future.
