A recent poll has ranked Deputy President William Ruto above his critic opposition leader Raila Odinga on matters media coverage.

According to the survey by Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) released on Wednesday, Ruto was the second most mentioned person in news with 13 percent, with Raila coming third with 8 percent.

President Uhuru Kenyatta leads the pack of most mentioned personalities in news with 20 percent coverage, and the second on political coverage with 20.76 percent.

On political coverage, Ruto is ranked position one with 27.88%, while Odinga is third with 18.04 percent.

It is worth noting that Raila and Ruto have been involved in an active verbal fight, alongside their camps, following the March 9, 2018 truce between Uhuru and Raila.

The list of most covered governors was topped by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko at 28 percent.

His Kiambu and Migori counterparts Ferdinand Waititu and Okoth Obado came in second and third with 14 and 11 percent respectively.
