A section of Kenyans are up in arms after they received emails indicating that they applied for loans from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
Many of those who received the emails claimed they had not applied for the loans with some going ahead to cite that they had completed university education.
Those who expressed their concerns on Social Media wondered how they received the emails yet they had never applied for HELB loans throughout their studies at the university.
"Hi @HELBpage what is happening here? I have never applied for HELB and I have NEVER signed up anywhere on your website using my email (xtiandela@gmail.com). This looks fishy. Kindly do something about it. Hii ni Kenya, staki hii mchezo wasee.," Xtiandela, a popular blogger tweeted on Saturday.
Here are more reactions from Twitter;
HELB has not responded to the complaints.
