Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives in Kisii, have said they are narrowing down on arrest of suspects in the murder of a 32-year-old man.
The sleuths deployed to Kitutu Chache police station, said several people have recorded statements concerning the murder of Collins Marube.
Marube was killed on the night of December 30, 2019, by unknown people who picked him from a burial.His father Michael Omari reportedly received a call from his friends, telling him that his son had been picked by.a group of an unknown people.
Marube was later found lying in his compound seriously injured.
He was rushed to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
Addressing the media, Marube's father claimed his son shared names of his attackers before he died.
"He has been working as a plant operator in Nairobi and was planning to relocate to Kisii at the beginning of this year. My son mumbled the names of those who attacked him moments before he died. My wish is for the suspects to be arrested," said Omari as quoted by Standard.According to a post mortem report, the deceased died due to complications of the spinal injury caused by blunt force trauma.
