Nairobi governor Mike Sonko's daughter has opened up on the violence she experienced in her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Ben Gitau.
Speaking during an interview with Radio Jambo's Massawe Japanni, Saumu claimed she was young and naive and therefore rushed for the marriage life shortly after her graduation.
She admits that she was warned against the marriage but she never listened.
Saumu who is also an entrepreneur, nonetheless went ahead to advice ladies against tolerating toxic and violent relationships.
"When I started dating Ben Gatu, I was young and naive. I ran for the marriage life right after graduation. I was only 21. I was warned against running for that married life but I thought I knew better. I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay in a toxic relationship where you cry often or being beaten. Do not allow violence in your relationship," Saumu Mbuvi stated as quoted by Kiss 100.
The mother of one claimed she had to run back to her father and seek for forgiveness when the violence became unbearable.
"There was violence when I was with Ben Gatu. I first shared it with my friends and when it became too much, I ran to my father and asked for forgiveness because I did not listen to him," Saumu Mbuvi noted as highlighted by Kiss 100.
She has also in the past revealed that the heartbreak for the father of her daughter left her in depression.
