City lawyer Donald Kipkorir has questioned the sidelining of former Bomet governor Isaac Ruto from three requiem masses before the burial of governor Joyce Laboso.

In a tweet on Saturday, the flamboyant lawyer wondered how Ruto could have been 'denied' the chance to address mourners in the three requiem masses held at Nairobi, Bomet and Kisumu (Koru).

This is despite the fact that the Chama Cha Mashinani party leader attended all the masses.

According to Kipkorir, Isaac Ruto's omission in the list of individuals who spoke during the masses was a missed chance "to give effect to talk".

"There were three requiem masses. They all praised her for being pacific & reconciler: Isaac Ruto attended all ... Nairobi. Bomet. Koru. Yet, not once was he even told to speak... Yet Isaac conceded defeat & gave her a chance to govern. A chance to give effect to talk was missed," the lawyer tweeted

Isaac Ruto was occasionally mentioned during Laboso's memorial service in Bomet Green Stadium on Friday.

He lost to the late governor during the 2017 general elections and went ahead to concede defeat.

Laboso succumbed to cancer on Monday aged 58.
