Nandi Deputy Governor Dr Yulita Cheruiyot has advised President Uhuru Kenyatta on what to do to curb wrangles in the ruling Jubilee party.
Speaking in Eldoret town on Monday, Dr Cheruiyot said that President Uhuru should call a parliamentary group (PG) meeting to end the infighting being witnessed in the party.
"After the handshake, there has been division in our party Jubilee where there has been no openness and our party leader had no time for us. However, if we call a PG the division being witnessed will be a thing of the past," said the Nandi deputy governor.
She opined that the 'Kieleweke' and 'Tanga Tanga' political camps were formed because the Head of State has remained mum while things are getting out of hand in the party.
"The president needs to sit down on a round table with the two camps and solve their differences so that they can walk together because their division is not good for the party," she added.
She further called on President Uhuru to be frank with party members and inform them about his plans in a bid to avoid doubts and political witchhunt in the party.
Cheruiyot challenged politicians from both the 'Kieleweke' and 'Tanga Tanga' teams to refrain from spreading hatred, noting that making inciting utterances might raise political temperatures in the country.
