A 16-year-old boy died on Thursday morning as four others sustained serious injuries after their vehicle was involved in an accident along Nairobi -Kangundo road.
Confirming the accident Matungulu Sub-Cunty Police Commander Joel Kipkemoi Kirui said that the accident involved a personal car at Nguluni in Matungulu.
He said that the vehicle lost control and rolled severally at the place which is a notorious black spot that has claimed a lot of lives over the years.
"It seems the vehicle stepped on something and it started rolling severally just a few kilometres from Nguluni market. A 17-year-old boy died while four others were injured," said Kirui.
He observed that the vehicle was headed to Nairobi from Kangundo at the time of accident.
The police boss offered that the boy died while receiving treatment at Nguluni Level Three Hospital.
The rest are receiving treatment at Kangundo Level Four Hospital where the body of the boy has been preserved.
The remains of the vehicle were towed to KBC Police Station.
