Residents of Annex have expressed their views after a murder incident which took place at Mti Moja.
A young policewoman, Robina Moraa who was stationed at Naiberi Police Station was allegedly killed by her lover in her house before taking off. Moraa's body had multiple stab wounds.
Uasin Gishu Police Commander John Ipara said that police have launched an investigation into the murder and arrest are expected before the end of the week
Moraa's neighbours expressed shock with the incident. Patrick Mutai, who lived in the rental apartment where the murder took place said they are living in fear after Moraa's heinous death.
"If a police officer can be killed at daytime, how safe is the life of a citizen at night?" asked Mutai.
He called on youths to resolve their disputes in better ways other than resulting in murder.
Another tenant only identified as Sharon advised ladies to heed to threats of an impending murder from their lovers when they get into a misunderstanding.
"If a man threatens you do not continue staying there," said Sharon.
Sharon's words were echoed by another tenant identified as Mercy who said that women should learn to walk away when their lovers threaten to end their lives.
The body of the deceased was taken to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
