Vibrant Nandi Hills Mp, Alfred Keter, has lauded the move by the President to sack Mwangi Kiunjuri who was Agriculture CS.
On Tuesday, the legislator welcomed the move saying the biggest beneficiaries of Kiunjuri's sacking were farmers.
Keter accused the former minister of running a ministry which did not support farmers interests but rather cartels' interests driven.
“Congratulations farmers for coming out as winners after the cabinet reshuffle. The move by the president to sack Kiunjuri was long overdue, he has been presiding over a ministry driven by cartel’s interests,” said Keter in a tweet.
The legislator who is optimistic that CS Munya will perform and deliver to farmers welcomed his appointment.
“I believe and trust Munya will deliver to the expectations of all Kenyans,” said the Nandi lawmaker.
Keter who happens to be Deputy President William Ruto's critic had gone silent in the recent days.
Last year, Keter was among Jubilee's Mp who openly opposed Dp's Ruto Kibera choice, Mariga who lost to ODM choice Imran Okoth.
"No amount of lobbying nor intimidation is going to make me support a non-starter like Mariga who has never voted in his life and is not even from Kibra period!!! #Kwendeni uko, " Keter posted while replying to Ruto's call on Jubilee MPs to volunteer as Mariga's agents.
